Dreams
Q&A with Bernardo Kastrup
"The dream is a small hidden door in the deepest and most intimate sanctum of the soul" - Carl Jung
Are dreams a doorway to the deeper subconscious, perhaps a communication channel to deeper layers of reality? Or are they just a mix of random images with no meaning?
We had a great session last year on dreams which you can watch here:
We discussed:
- how dreams could be as objective and as revealing of reality as 'waking life'.
- the genius accessed in less metacognitive states
- the hierarchies of the subconscious
- how lucid dreams can point to idealism
- the nature of time, memory and precognitive dreams
In this upcoming session we'll revisit questions we didn't get to last time, and open the floor for new ones which you can add below.
"We have forgotten the age-old fact that God speaks chiefly through dreams and visions" - Carl Jung
Asking questions
Everyone is welcome to propose questions using the comments section below.
Questions are selected based on relevance and audience vote. As such, make sure to write your question so that most can understand what you mean!
- Give it a short CLEAR TITLE in capital letters.
- Write an optional short description of what your question is about.
- Share further reflections below if you want, but if selected, aim for brevity when asking to help the flow of the discussion.
Also make sure to read the other questions and 'heart' the ones you are most curious about!
I look forward to seeing you on my dashboard soon,
With appreciation,
Amir
Date for this session to be determined.
