Christopher Timmerman: DMT entities & pure conscious experience

Christopher Timmermann (Imperial’s DMT Research Group) joins Bernardo Kastrup for a searching dialogue at the edge of science and philosophy. We’ll probe what high-dose DMT reveals about mind and world, from entity encounters to world-making, and how these experiences can be interpreted in the light of Analytic Idealism, the notion that all of reality is consciousness. 

Christopher, whilst agnostic about the ultimate nature of reality, has conducted studies showing that psychedelics can shift our deepest metaphysical beliefs away from physicalism.

He'll present new brain-imaging work on DMT’s whole-brain dynamics, and explore reports of near-contentless “pure consciousness,” from 5-MeO-DMT to focused contemplative practice, including Chris’s recent collaboration with a meditation lama.
